Jones Auction House is Atlantic Canada’s trusted destination for art and luxury objects. We provide a seamless marketplace for our community of collectors to discover, consign, and acquire artwork and fine objects.
We also manage private and corporate collections for clients across the region, and provide expert advice on art collection management, estate planning, and valuation.

Our Story
Jones Auction House was founded by sibling gallerists Sarah and Caleb Jones. They are also the owners of Jones Gallery Contemporary Art + Projects, founded in 2010.
Caleb is one of the few appraisers Atlantic Canada qualified through the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) as an Accredited Appraiser with a Fine Arts Specialty. He consults on private and public collections around the region.
Sarah is a curator and art historian. She conducted her graduate research on twentieth-century Canadian art and Nova Scotian artist, Maud Lewis, and has taught art history courses at University of New Brunswick Saint John since 2010.

Location
Jones Auction House is headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, in the historic Palatine Building. The Palatine was built in 1878 for the Bank of Nova Scotia, and is now part of the Saint John’s Trinity Royal Heritage Preservation Area. With polished granite pillars and imaginatively carved keystones, the Palatine is an important element of the Prince William streetscape, known for its significant concentration of 19th-century Italianate and Second Empire architecture.

Our Appraisal and Valuation Department provides comprehensive inventories and appraisal reports which are recognized by financial institutions, insurance brokers, and conform to regulations by government agencies including Canada Revenue Agency and the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board.
We also provide professional and qualified appraising and cataloging services for our clients, adhering to the highest industry standards and ethical guidelines.
Caleb Jones, our lead appraiser, is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) with a Fine Art Specialty and has been trained and tested in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as established by The Appraisal Foundation.
